Speakers Bios

Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis

Chief Rabbi Sir Ephraim Mirvis is only the 11th Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the Commonwealth since the office was introduced in 1704. He was installed on 1st September 2013 in an historic ceremony attended by His Majesty The King, then Prince of Wales, the first time that a member of the Royal Family has attended a service for the installation of a Chief Rabbi.
In 2023, The Chief Rabbi received a Knighthood for his service to the Jewish community, Interfaith relations and education.

Sue Atkins

TV Presenter & The Parenting Coach

Sue has over 35 years experience as a parenting coach and Deputy Headteacher, and has raised two children of her own, so she truly understands the challenges you are going through.  As the Parenting Expert for ITV’s ‘This Morning’, BBC Radio, Disney Junior, Good Morning Britain and India’s Parenting World Magazine, she’s helped thousands of parents to overcome their challenges and develop their own balanced, down to earth parenting approach that creates happy, positive children, and relaxed confident parents.

Rabbi Moshe Levy

A descendent from a long lineage of Sephardic rabbis (his great grandfather was the last Chief Rabbi of Yemen), Rabbi Moshe Levy grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he received a degree in Finance from Touro College and went on to receive Rabbinic ordination in Eretz Yisrael while studying in the Kollel of Rabbi Yitzchak Berkowitz. A fantastic speaker, with down-to-earth inspirational style,  Rabbi Levy has taught across schools, young professionals and programmes, including being scholar in residence in programmes from Panama to Dubai, from Miami to Crete.

Yaakov Barr

Psychotherapist and CEO of JTeen

Yaakov Barr is a psychotherapist, CBT clinical supervisor, and CEO of JTeen, a teen-focused charity renowned for its award-winning support line and innovative mental health initiatives. He is also the author of Mastering Your Mind, a self-help book designed to empower teens.

Mrs Ruty David

Chazak. Eft practitioner and Spiritual healer

Truly blessed to be a Mother of 6, Ruty is originally from Manchester. She loves being a mum, loves people and showing them how they can  empower themselves. Ruty comes from a family who have impacted communities worldwide; she teaches for Chazak and other platforms across the community.

Annette Golker

Systemic Psychotherapist

Annette Golker is a Systemic Psychotherapist and works with individuals, couples and families both in private practice and in the NHS; currently training to be a Systemic Supervisor. She also teaches brides before they get married. In her words:  “I love my work but being a wife and mother is my most privileged role yet!”

Dr Shanni Solomon

Counselling Psychologist

Dr Shanni Solomon, is a Counselling Psychologist, Lecturer and Clinical supervisor in the efficacy and value of social and emotional learning programs in schools and on adolescent resilience. She has worked in the Barnet Drug and Alcohol Psychological services, for the UCL student psychological services, for NHS in the Chronic Fatigue service and also in the IAPT short term therapy services, as well as assessing ASD and ADHD for Barnet CAMHS.  She now works for Sunbeams, a young person’s mentoring service and as therapist and clinical supervisor for Bikur Cholim Stamford Hill; she is Clinical Lead of the Warehouse mental health programs.

Mrs Rochelle Cowan

Mrs Rochelle Cowan is a qualified physiotherapist with over 17 years’ experience. Having obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne in Australia, she later lived and worked in Israel for 7 years, before moving to the UK in 2012. Throughout her career she has worked across various areas of physiotherapy, specialising in women’s health and arranging various conferences and seminars on the topic.

Naomi Lerer

Child Psychologist & Founder and CEO of Noa Girls

Naomi Lerer is the founder and CEO of Noa Girls, having previously spent 14 years working with adolescents in the Jewish community.  A graduate of the Clore Social Leadership Programme, Naomi holds two MAs, one in Psychodynamic Approaches to Working with Adolescents (Tavistock) and an MA in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychological Therapy (Tavistock) as well as a BA (Hons) Business (Manchester Metropolitan University).

Yoel Orgel

Yoel Orgel is the clinical psychotherapy lead for Children Ahead. He lectures and practises widely and is a sought after child psychologist. He lives in Edgware.
